The Welcoming

Jump out of your bathrobe and kick off your slippers. It's finally time for The Welcoming again!

On 30 August, we are gearing up for a really nice welcome, this year on and off campus in Eskilstuna!

Indoors in the entrance hall, lots of exhibitors are ready at the intro fair, they are all there because they have something to offer you as a student.

In the outdoor area at Strömsholmen you will find the stage and the festival area with food trucks, fun activities and more. The stage programme will come closer to The Welcoming, but we can already hint that it will be awesome.

Bring your MDU card

For security reasons, we have an entrance control to the festival area outdoors. Current students, or if you have ordered and received it already, show your MDU card (MDH-card also works). Newly admitted students will receive an invitation email in late July or early August.

Once you have shown that you are a student, you will receive a stamp on your hand, so that you can move between the indoor fair on campus and the outdoor area.

Leave big bags at home

The big bag is best left at home. A bag wardrobe is available, but for a limited number of bags.

Buses

Buses from campus Västerås, main entrance, depart at 12 noon.
Buses back to campus Västerås depart from Rademachergatan at 16.15.
